Parent company of Concrete Nor’West updates brand
The Miles Companies, of which Concrete Nor’West in Snohomish County is a division, have updated their brand. The 73-year-old firm’s red-and-green striped mixer trucks have dropped the green in lieu of the charcoal grey to represent the products offered. The signature stripes have also been replaced with a bold M icon in a contemporary font.
UW president to speak to EvCC foundation
University of Washington President Ana Mari Cauce is the keynote speaker for the Everett Community College Foundation benefit breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on April 26. Cauce, a longtime UW professor and administrator, became the first woman to permanently lead the institution in October . The breakfast is at EvCC’s Student Fitness Center. Sno-Isle Libraries honors 38 volunteers
Sno-Isle Libraries has honored 38 of its volunteers with President’s Volunteer Service Awards. Together, these local volunteers have contributed a total of more than 5,400 hours to serve the 21 community libraries, online services, and Library on Wheels program that make up Sno-Isle Libraries. United Way to continue offering tax help through April 16
United Way of Snohomish County’s Free Tax Preparation will continue service through April 16 at sites in Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville and Monroe. This free no-appointment-needed service is available for households earning $62,000 or less.
