Everett’s ATS recognized by Aviation Week
Everett-based Aviation Technical Services, also known as ATS, has been named the Leading Independent MRO Organization by Aviation Week. The company won the award for its Skyline service, which integrates pre-owned and midlife aircraft to existing airline fleets.
“This award is a testament to our employees’ efforts in working seamlessly with customers to act as an extension of their team,” said ATS CEO Matt Yerbic, who was in Dallas this week to accept the award.
ATS, which employs 1,500, is one of the biggest maintenance, repair and overhaul companies, or MROs in aviation terminology, in the world
Stantec’s Lynnwood office hires new project manager
Stantec’s Lynnwood office has announced that Adnan Ahmed joined the firm as a project manager in its Information Communication Technology consulting practice. Ahmed has more than 14 years of experience as an ICT infrastructure specialist. He designs data and communications infrastructure for healthcare facilities, data centers, airports, commercial high-rise buildings and industrial projects.
Economic Alliance, Northwest firms attend Paris composites conference
Economic Alliance Snohomish County was one of many Washington State entities attending JEC Composites show and conference on March 8-10 in Paris. The show is the annual gathering for the worlds’ composites industry. The Washington state booth was organized by the state Department of Commerce. Electroimpact of Mukilteo and the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance were among the participants.
County sees dip in occupancy, rate for hotel rooms in 2015
Snohomish County hotels were down in occupancy, average daily rate and revenue per room over 2014, according to the Smith Travel Research report for December 2015. Overall demand was down 4.7 percent for the month but year-end demand is up 1.4 percent. Likewise, year-end hotel supply was up 3.7 percent and total revenue was up 5.4 percent.
EvergreenHealth honored with Workplace of the Year Award
Kirkland-based EvergreenHealth has been honored with a 2016 Workplace of the Year Award from The Advisory Board Company. It is one of 20 health care organizations in the country, and the only in Washington state, to receive the annual award that recognizes motivated and engaged employees and an employee engagement rate well above the national median for the health care industry.
