Regarding the editorial cartoon depicting the GOP elephant and Ted Cruz in a bar: This picture accurately reflects the fact that there is a great deal of opposition to Ted Cruz from within his own party. However, I feel Ted represents much needed opposition to the Washington, D.C. establishment and that he does a very good job of faithfully representing the views of those of us who believe a return to integrity and the founding principles of our constitution are much needed today.
I am glad to have the opportunity to support Ted Cruz and feel sad The Herald feels a need to paint such a negative picture of him.
I believe we live in a society where evil is called good and good is called evil because we have let ourselves reject the teachings of the Bible.
Newspapers, like other media, seem to be more interested in moving public opinion in a leftward direction than reflecting it.
President Eisenhower is credited with saying something like this: A people who value their privileges more than their principles will soon lose both.
Let’s think about that!
