LYNNWOOD — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday after a crash on I-5 in Lynnwood.
The crash was reported at 2:30 p.m. on the northbound highway near the interchange with I-405, said trooper Mark Francis with the Washington State Patrol.
The 68-year-old Auburn woman apparently lost control while swerving to avoid a collision with backed-up traffic, Francis said. She suffered head injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
She was wearing a helmet, and her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Francis said. No drugs or alcohol were suspected.
The incident caused further traffic delays.
