My opinion on Marysville Pilchuck getting a new cafeteria is that I feel it would be better for the school and for the students. I am a graduate of 2015 from Marysville Pilchuck and I wasn’t there at the time and neither was my sister, but I honestly feel the new cafeteria is better because it breaks my heart seeing the community and student still hurt from the shooting. If they didn’t build it and just used the old cafeteria it would bring up memories of what happened during the shooting. These students friends were killed. People tell us we need to move on and forget it, but how do we forget something that left a hole in our hearts and left us devastated and heart broken? Yes, it may be costly for us, but we should put the students first. I want to see the students heal better without having to go back to being in the old cafeteria. I feel the school needs a little remodeling.
