Regarding Saturday’s front page article “Suit filed over Koster’s exit”: I find it ironic that Koster, an extreme anti-union conservative, now is suing the citizens (county taxpayers) for almost a million dollars, invoking civil service protections fought for by unions and Democrats over the past several decades.
According to the article, Koster made his living feeding from the public trough as a state legislator and county councilman for decades. Prior to that he was in the private sector in the milk business.
I always thought that the newly created cushy county ombudsman job was a political spoils position for Koster, giving him a lucrative state pension when he reached retirement age.
I urge Mr. Koster to drop his lawsuit against the citizens and get a real job instead of “milking” the taxpayers.
