ARLINGTON — Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit are trying to find Patrick Shunn and his wife, Monique Patenaude.
The Arlington-area couple were reported missing by neighbors Tuesday afternoon. Their disappearance is considered suspicious because it is unusual for them not to be in contact with family or friends, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
Shunn, 45, was last seen at his workplace in Kirkland on Monday but did not report for work the next day.
Patenaude, 46, was last seen around 1 p.m. Monday near the couple’s residence in the 27800 block of Whitman Road.
They were scheduled to be in court last week for a hearing regarding an ongoing land dispute with a neighbor. The hearing was later rescheduled for May.
Detectives also are looking for the couple’s vehicles: a tan 2000 Land Rover Discovery with the license plate AR02639, and a black 1995 Jeep with the plate WB02789. Both vehicles have Washington plates.
Anyone who has information is asked to call the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 425-388-3845.
