British Airways A320 hits drone at London’s Heathrow Airport

An Airbus A320 on approach at London’s Heathrow Airport landed safely after colliding with what police believe was a drone, the BBC reported.

The British Airways flight had 137 people on board, including five crew members.

The drone appears to have hit the front of the aircraft, which was cleared for its next flight by the airline’s engineers.

Near misses with unmanned aerial vehicles — or drones — have been reported by pilots flying around Paine Field near Everett.
