Prep Athletes of the Week | Apr. 11-16

Michael Attalah

Cedar Park Christian-Bothell | Baseball

Attalah, a junior, batted 7-for-9 last week with two home runs, a triple, two doubles, four runs scored and five RBI. On the mound, he pitched five innings, picking up a win while allowing just one run and striking out six. Attalah helped the Eagles to a 3-0 record for the week, moving them into a second-place tie with Cedarcrest and Granite Falls.

Emma Helm

Meadowdale | Softball

Helm, a junior, tatted 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI in a 17-1 win over Arlington on Tuesday. Helm and the Mavericks are undefeated so far this season.

Armon Tenaw

Edmonds-Woodway | Boys Soccer

Tenaw, a sophomore, scored all three goals in the Warriors’ 3-2 win over Shorecrest on Friday and had two goals in their 3-0 win over Arlington on Tuesday.

Taylor Fahey

Holly Davis

Lynnwood | Girls Tennis

The No. 1 doubles team of Fahey and Davis went 3-0 last week, with victories over the No. 1 doubles teams from Edmonds-Woodway, Shorewood and Shorecrest. With two different partners, Fahey is 9-2 this season at No. 1 doubles for the Royals. The duo of Fahey and Davis is 6-0.

Adam Alayli

Kamiak | Boys Track

Alayli tied for first in the long jump at the Eason Invitational this past Saturday with a leap of 21 feet, 3.5 inches. Alayli helped the Knights finish first in the team scores, one point ahead of O’Dea.

Maya McFadden

Glacier Peak | Girls Track

McFadden, a junior, placed first in the javelin throw this past Saturday at the annual Eason Invitational. McFadden’s throw of 136 feet, 9 inches was nearly 20 feet better than the nearest competitor. McFadden helped lead the Grizzlies’ girls team to a first place finish overall, edging Kamiak.

Grayson Giboney

King’s | Boys Golf

Giboney, a freshman, won the annual Dolan Invitational last Monday, shooting an even-par 72 and defeating teammate JackRyan O’Neil and Snohomish’s Ethan Casto on the first playoff hole.

Anna Lundquist

Lake Stevens | Girls Golf

Lundquist shot a five-over par 41 (nine holes) to earn medalist honors in the Vikings’ victory over Snohomish last Tuesday.

Taylor Tresch

Stanwood | Boys Lacrosse

Tresch scored three goals and had five assists in Stanwood’s 16-6 win over Archbishop Murphy on Friday. Stanwood is off to a 7-0 start in league play and is 7-1 overall this season.
