Monthly meetings
The Lake Stevens Police Department plans to hold monthly neighborhood meetings to talk to people who live in different parts of the city. A map, available at lakestevenswa.gov, divides the city into north, south and central neighborhoods, with one neighborhood meeting each month. The first meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center, 12309 22nd St. NE. The date and location of the next meeting have not yet been announced.
Coffee with your congressman: U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, who represents Washington’s 2nd District, is inviting constituents to join him Saturday for coffee in Everett. The meet-up is scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at CafeWorks, which is a project of HopeWorks and provides job training opportunities for at-risk young adults. The address is 3331 Broadway.
Color the park: Sno-Isle Genealogical Society offers a “Heritage Park Color and Activity Book.” The 22-page booklet is available at the Society’s Research Library in Heritage Park, Lynnwood, for a $5 donation. All parts of the park are shown. The Research Library is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 19827 Poplar Way. For more information, call 425-775-6267.
