While I certainly do not like higher taxes any more than others, there comes a time when it is time to replace, and quit “fixing.” I have had the opportunity to volunteer with the Marysville School District for many, many years, including a few years on an oversight committee (citizens monitoring how building funds are utilized.) The district is very creative, and conservative, and have been fine stewards of our funds for capital (buildings.) It is obvious some of the previous writers have little or no knowledge of these past accomplishments. I am hopeful that our students will develop a cure for cancer, and numerous other diseases, and the foundation for this are the facilities and amenities they have to grow and study in.
