GRAHAM — A woman is dead and her husband is in critical condition in a hospital after authorities say he killed her and then shot himself.
Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer says investigators believe the 36-year-old man, a former member of the military, shot his 32-year-old wife in their Graham home Saturday morning.
The News Tribune of Tacoma reported that the couple’s three young children were home at the time but were not hurt. A 4-year-old boy called police to say her parents were on the floor after a problem at the home.
Troyer says the man had been fired from a hospital job and suffered post-traumatic stress disorder. He was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma.
