SALEM, Ore. — Oregon Department of Corrections officials say two men in minimum-security facilities walked away from work crews.
Officials said in a news release that Justin Carnes and William McGinnis were missing from their work crews around noon Tuesday.
Carnes was part of a crew working on the Oregon State Penitentiary grounds while McGinnis was working near Bush Park in Salem.
Carnes entered corrections custody in March 2015 for assault and heroin delivery in Marion County. Officials say Carnes is Caucasian, 30 years old and 6 feet tall. He weighs about 210 pounds and has brown eyes and hair.
McGinnis is described as 30 years old and Caucasian with brown hair and eyes. He’s 5 feet 10 inches tall and 190 pounds.
McGinnis has been in custody since November 2014 and was convicted of burglary in Lincoln County.
Oregon State Police are investigating.
