More I-5 work
Drivers should plan ahead for two I-5 road projects that are expected to cause extra congestion starting Thursday.
State Department of Transportation contractor crews expect to restripe and shift northbound I-5 lanes to the right Thursday night.
All lanes of northbound I-5 at 116th Street NW are scheduled to close for two hours during the early morning Friday.
Crews plan to reduce northbound I-5 to two narrow lanes starting at 9:30 p.m. Friday to replace expansion joints on part of the northbound Ebey Slough Bridge. The Highway 529 onramp to northbound I-5 will be closed. Only one lane of I-5 will stay open overnight Friday and overnight Sunday.
Three narrow I-5 lanes and the Highway 529 onramp are to reopen for the morning commute by 5 a.m. Monday.
