A non-politician greatly appealing

Regarding the letter, “Trump should bring jobs back”: The writer proves he doesn’t understand Donald Trump at all. Yes, Trump expounds on the exploitation of the United States and that he can and will bring jobs back. He admittedly became successful by knowing how to operate a businesses and by taking advantage of the opportunities available. None of this is or was illegal, he just did what many American companies do to make successful, profitable companies. That is what smart business people do.

He also states, it is wrong and it is destroying the economy in this country and that is what he wants to change, and he says he can and will do it.

As the letter suggests, he could bring all his manufacturing lines back to the United States and that would create more jobs. Pretty simple solution, except it would also not be profitable for his companies, and that would not be a smart business move. I believe Trump is sincere in wanting to make changes that would make the playing field more equal with foreign countries and encourage the return of thousands of companies and jobs back to the U. S.

I’m almost 80 years old, and I am sad and disappointed at the direction our country is going. Most of the politicians currently running the country have never done, or know anything, other than being a political hack. They wouldn’t understand or know how to run a successful company, as they have proven with the running of our government. Once they get elected they become lifers feeding at the public trough for decades and leaving with retirements and benefits none of us will ever see. It would be refreshing to see someone, anyone, at the helm other than what we have now.

I don’t know if Trump is that person, or if he can possibly make the changes he has promised, but it infuriates me to read simple solutions and comments like those in the letter.
