Ulla Johnson, principle assistant to the dean at Washington State University, signs the final support beam Tuesday before it is placed on WSU’s Everett University Center building under construcion on North Broadway. The $54.6 million project is expected to open for the 2017 school year. The four-story, 95,000-square-foot building will serve as home to WSU North Puget Sound at Everett and the Everett University Center. When finished, it will have at least a dozen classrooms, 10 laboratories, offices, a small café and an area for public gatherings.
