Flea market: The South Lake Stevens Grange 690 is holding a flea market from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Grange Hall, 2109 103rd Ave. SE, Lake Stevens. The Grange is a national, fraternal nonprofit that sees the family farm as the basic unit of agricultural production in America.
Meet the chiefs: The next Lake Stevens Coffee with the Chiefs event is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Lake Stevens Buzz Inn. Fire Chief Kevin O’Brien and Interim Police Chief Ralph Krusey answer questions. The restaurant is at 1801 Main St.
What’s up in Lynnwood: Neighbors who live along 36th Avenue W may have noticed land-use action warnings posted just south of 188th Street SW.
Echelbarger Investments purchased the land in February, city officials said Wednesday. The business has proposed building 16 houses on 4.35 acres.
The issue is scheduled to go before the hearing examiner Thursday. That review process can take months.
There is no start date for construction on the project, called Leawood Heights.
