Regarding the article, “Former exec Reardon fined for ‘egregious’ campaign violations”: It’s interesting that Aaron Reardon was fined the maximum of $ 4,200 (such a huge sum for him to pay) for basically defrauding three-quarters of a million Snohomish County residents. And let’s see, the PDC spent three years investigating Reardon on his campaign violations, to the tune of how much money? Seems about right. Justice. Ahhhhhhh!
What’s next? Imprisonment and felony to a teenager who believed she had no other resources other than to dump her (unwanted) baby in a compactor. Bail at $5,000 for a teenager, who some folks believe doesn’t have the wisdom to be allowed to smoke cigarettes, and who has no resources and no prospects for real help in straightening out her young life. Also, the prospects for her abandoned baby look good as we all know how good the outcomes often are for foster and “adoptive” children.
And politicians still wonder why people don’t bother to vote. Go figure. Let’s keep punishing “the little people.” It’s a system that’s working amazingly well for all.
