Regarding Edmonds 228th Street SW Corridor Improvements project for a new traffic light intersection 228th and Highway 99:
I understand that there is a lot more behind these projects than meets the eye. But it is interesting to say the least.
1. It was combined effort with Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds through the park, but signage last autumn stated that would all have been completed by November 2015. Edmond’s striping just completed? There were many days in late autumn when weather permitted but the crews were nowhere to be seen!
2. The current 228th and 76th Avenue W. intersection is a shambles, too much confusion when only two of three directions have the stop sign? Poor procedure.
3. For what reasons I can’t imagine 76th Avenue W. will still exit to Highway 99 heading north. I thought the whole purpose of the new traffic light intersection for 228th SW and Highway 99 was to increase safety? The exit of 76th Avenue W. was a major unsafe area and it will continue to be that way. What a shame, what a sham.
