Each day I am totally amazed at the big semis and Canadian cars that are going 75 mph and above on the freeways. The aircraft seems to help, but there needs to be more enforcement. Someone is going to be killed. Enforcement is needed. I clocked one truck driver from Canada going 85 mph. Yes, I had to. Big long truck at that. Some are spending a great deal of time in the fast lane. In the slow lane, they come right up and are 5-10 feet behind me. Why isn’t the WSP cracking down on these people? The autos from Canada are sometimes single drivers in the HOV lane or they are going 75-80 mph.
Local Marysville drivers are harassed and road raged at for going 50 mph through the 45 zone at Marysville at milepost 197 to exit 199. Pretty much everybody ticketable and big fines. Seriously. If you want to drive 65 through a 45 zone it’s fine by me but don’t harass people who know better. High beams from a big rig and a car pulled up next to me at the exit and flipped me off. Sheesh, they should get some ticket cameras, they could make enough to pay for the work.
One of the things we can do, is to call the Canadian companies who are driving erratically. And keep calling each time another one speeds or harasses people on the road. My brother-in-law who was head of the WSP Aviation Division, started the aircraft that goes up and down the freeway. This helps a little. Do we need to see more people killed before something further is done?
Isn’t it amazing the number of trucks that roll over on the exits and/or on the straight portions of the highways and freeways? Going too fast!
