I own a small business, and like many businesses today, my business depends upon Internet service.
I chose Comcast to provide Internet service to my new office in November 2015. After various meetings, Comcast advised that fiber-optic service would be installed on Feb. 25, 2016. On Feb. 11, Comcast advised that a city of Mountlake Terrace permit would not be issued until June 1. On April 28, Comcast advised that there was a delay with the city permit and the project was pushed out to August 2016.
Infuriated, I contacted the city and was advised that Comcast has had the necessary permit since Feb. 2. When confronted with this fact, Comcast advised that the delay was due to Snohomish County PUD. When I contacted the PUD directly, I was again advised that this was not the case.
I cannot grow my business and provide white collar jobs to this community without adequate Internet services. As a victim of Comcast, I say, “Google fiber, where are you?”
