Futbol camps
The deadline to register children for the Everett Police Department’s Casino Road soccer camp is May 20. The camp runs June 28 to July 1 at Walter E. Hall Park, 1226 W. Casino Road. There are 300 spots available. Parents must register in person during one of three upcoming events: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 14 at the Everett Boys &Girls Club, 525 W. Casino Road; 5 to 7 p.m. May 18 at the Everett Boys &Girls Club; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 20 at the Everett police south precinct, 1121 SE Everett Mall Way. Donations and volunteers also are needed.
Check up on Lynnwood: Mayor Nicola Smith’s third annual State of the City address has been scheduled for 8 a.m. June 16 at the Lynnwood Convention Center.
The event usually features multiple speakers in addition to the mayor, as well as information about construction, community news, parks and transportation. Cookies and drinks are provided. Also in Lynnwood, the next public meeting for the Transportation Benefit District has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at City Hall. The board is expected to discuss ways to fund road projects.
EMS advisers needed: The city of Mill Creek is seeking volunteers to write pro and con statements for a ballot measure about the emergency medical services levy. Applicants should submit a letter of interest with their contact information to Kelly@cityofmillcreek.com, fax 425-745-9650 or stop by City Hall at 15728 Main St.
The ballot measure is expected for the primary election in August. The deadline for volunteers to apply is Tuesday.
