Marysville voters, please rework your budgets so that the schools in this fine city and this fine district are at the top of your priority list. We can ask for nothing less than just that. We need to start passing much-needed future bonds and levies. My husband and I taught here for 30 great years, and the very most successful years of learning for the students were the days that the levies and bonds were passing overwhelmingly. The 60 percent supermajority was designed by Olympia and there is no school district in our great state that can change the law. We are all sad but hopeful and positive and will remain that way plus very caring for the students’ welfare. Please reread the April 28 letter in which Ron Friesen states, “Great communities with great property values have great schools that the community supports.” We can surely do this in the fine city of Marysville, and it is definitely time to do just that! So voters, please start setting a great example for the students here in the city as the students of all ages here more than deserve and need your exemplary support. Our wonderful students will shine forever as they will start to feel that they are surely your very first priority in their lives as they become the awesome future leaders of our great nation of America!
