Many of the hardy orchids can be a challenge to grow, but Chinese ground orchid likely is the most effortless. The pleated green leaves arise from a pseudobulb in springtime with exquisite orchid flowers appearing in springtime in shades of fuchsia to mauve, with the lip being a touch darker. A mass planting of blooming Bletilla stiata is quite a sight to behold.
