The “Spring Classics” concert, directed by Marcin Paczkowski, features violin soloist Luke Fitzpatrick performing the “Air” from Carl Goldmark’s Violin Concerto No. 1. Stargazing in 35mm: The band plays a concert at 7:30 p.m. May 7 at the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. For information, call 360-568-9412. The band’s first concept album, Space Bass, takes place in a retro-futuristic world, with an action-packed storyline. Em Tyson, Shawn Arko and Hakan Saray have been writing together for about four years and became a band last summer when Elden Fisher joined. Support these Snohomish High School students by buying a $10 ticket at the door.

The final concert of the season, “Organ Symphony,” is 7:30 p.m. May 9 at Edmonds Center for the Arts. Buddy, Ritchie and The Big Bopper: “The Day the Music Died,” featuring the music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and JP Richardson, is at 7:30 p.m. May 13 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St. Festival seating. The “Listener’s Choice” season finale concert is 7 p.m. May 14 at Everett Civic Auditorium, featuring Villa-Lobos’ “Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5” with soprano Ellaina Lewis and the Philharmonic’s cello section, and pianist Alexander Ardakov performing the Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor.
Mill Creek Chorale: The 50-voice group’s spring concert, “Let It Shine,” featuring Broadway tunes and gospel songs, will be presented at 3 and 7 p.m. May 14 at Advent Lutheran Church, 4306 132nd St. SE, Mill Creek. Under the direction of Sean Berg, the chorale’s matinee will feature Cascade High School’s Vivace group. The evening performance will feature the debut of the Mill Creek Children’s Chorus. Everett Rock Party: Marc Tachell, the local online personality known as “Everett Rock,” is throwing a free all-ages party featuring five bands from 3 to 11 p.m. May 14 at the Golf Range and Lounge, 1215 80th St. SW, Everett. West African Kora Music Hear of the music of West Africa when Sean Gaskell performs at 2 p.m. May 15 in the Everett Public Library Auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Admission is free. Gaskell performs traditional songs on a 21-string harp called the Kora, featuring the music of the Mande people, who live in Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea and Guinea Bissau. The concert will be repeated at 4 p.m. May 16 at the Snohomish Library, 311 Maple Ave.
Trinity’s Organ Recital Series: The season at Trinity Lutheran Church ends with a concert by Michael Kleinschmidt, canon musician at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Seattle, at 7 p.m. May 15 at the church, 6215 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. Suggested donation is $15.
