The Seahawks have announced a press conference for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center for receiver Ricardo Lockette. Then Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network tweeted the following.

Lockette suffered a serious neck injury from a gruesome hit from Jeff Heath during Seattle’s 13-12 victory at Dallas last November, an injury that required surgery.
Lockette was an undrafted free agent who spent five seasons in the NFL, four of those with the Seahawks. He was known primarily for his work on special teams, though he caught a memorable touchdown pass in Seattle’s 27-23 loss to Carolina last October.
