St. Jude’s fundraiser
Horse Country Farm will hold a Saddle Up for St. Jude’s fundraiser and summer camp open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 15. The farm is on Highway 92 between Granite Falls and Lake Stevens. Half of the proceeds go to the research hospital. Sign up for day camp, enjoy a half-hour trail ride or riding lesson, lease a horse, give a little one a pony ride — or have a family member dump a muck bucket for a $5 donation. An essay contest judged by young adult novelist Shannon Kennedy concludes that day. The winning child will receive a free three-day trip to Old West Camp this summer at the farm.
