Sorticulture: Everett’s Garden Arts Festival is June 10-12, Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett. Garden art, nurseries, gardening experts, food, music and a wine garden. Admission is free; www.everettwa.org.

Field trip: Join Monroe Garden Club on June 13 on a field trip to Falling Water Gardens, 17516 Highway 203, Monroe. A program about bog gardening will begin at 1 p.m. Those wishing to car pool should meet at 11:30 a.m. at the East County Senior Center, 276 Sky River Parkway, Monroe. Home, sweet, home: Monte Cristo Awards honor Everett property owners who have shown extensive pride in their home or business. Awards are given in three categories: Rejuvenation and Transformation; Pride of the Neighborhood; and Neighborhood-Friendly Business. Deadline for entries is June 15. An awards ceremony is Oct. 13. Nomination forms are available at everettwa.gov/montecristo, Everett Library branches, the city’s Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, the PUD and local home improvement, paint and lumber stores.

Garden tours

Mill Creek Garden Tour: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25 at six gardens in Mill Creek; benefits Mill Creek Garden Club’s “Giving through Gardening” school grants, civic projects and club operations; tickets $15; on sale at Li’l Sprout Nursery, 17414 Bothell-Everett Highway, Mill Creek; www.millcreekgardenclub.com.

Whidbey Island Garden Tour: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 18; 360-321-4191; wigt.org. Tour is self-guided with five gardens. Adult advance tickets, $20; day of tour, $25. Ages 2 to 12, $10 advance; $15 day of tour.

Camano Island Backyard Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour: Features landscaping for wildlife, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25; get maps at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 NE Camano Dr., on the day of the event; free; www.camanowildlifehabitat.org.

Edmonds in Bloom: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 17 at a variety of private gardens; tickets will be sold at businesses and online the first week in June; www.edmondsinbloom.com.

Snohomish Garden Club garden tour: Noon to 5 p.m. July 31 at gardens in the Snohomish area; $12; tickets available at several locations; 425-377-2084; www.snohomishgardenclub.com.
