EVERETT — A public hearing on proposed changes to the city charter will be held Thursday.
The hearing, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., is one of the final opportunities for the public to comment on the Everett Charter Review Commission’s draft proposal.
Comments also can be submitted online at http://bit.ly/24ODONf. The hearing will be held in the human resources training room on the fifth floor of the Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore Ave.
The commission is expected to finalize its recommendations in the weeks following the public hearing. It must submit its final report to the City Council by June 1 so that changes to the city charter can appear on the November general election ballot.
The commission’s draft report can be downloaded from everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/6317.
