Camano Island Coffee opens new offices

Camano Island Coffee Roasters has opened a new building at Terry’s Corner on Camano Island the intersection of Highway 532, Sunrise Boulevard and North Camano Drive. The building houses an art gallery, a chiropractic clinic, French bakery and the coffee roasters offices. The building also includes a made-in-Washington solar system that was installed by Fire Mountain Solar of Mount Vernon to help power the offices.

Donation of semi-truck sought

South Seattle College and Goodwill are seeking a truck donation for their training program to meet the growing demand for truck drivers. The college is providing the training and Goodwill is helping place the graduates who are typically low-income or veterans. But the program can serve only 17 students in each 12-week group because only one truck is available. Details about the program are at this site.
