AARP Driver Safety: This eight-hour class is a classroom-based driver-retraining program designed to help older people improve their driving skills. A certificate of completion is given that qualifies drivers over age 55 for insurance discounts. Family Caregiver Support Group: The group provides a consistent and caring place for caregivers to learn, share and gain emotional support from others who are on the unique journey of providing care to a person with dementia; 3 to 4:30 p.m. fourth Tuesday of the month; The Everett Clinic Monte Cristo Conference Room, 3830 Hoyt Ave, Everett; free; 425-317-3482.

Getting Better Group: This weekly group, led by Megan Merriwether, PhD, is designed for those dealing with pain (chronic or injury related) or other physical symptoms that have a negative effect on their mental and emotional health. Participants will learn to cope more effectively with the anxiety and depression related to their physical symptoms, as well as learn strategies from others in the same situation; 9 to 10:20 a.m. Thursdays; The Everett Clinic Mill Creek, 15418 Main St. Suite 303B (check-in at 303A), Mill Creek; fees are covered in part by most insurance plans; 425-339-5453.

Your Life, Your Wishes: Join us for this complimentary class to learn about FIVE WISHESâ„¢, a form used to help people make decisions about their medical care later in life, and share information about advanced directives, power of attorney and physician orders for life-sustaining treatment, how to complete forms; 10:30 to noon March 28 (to register, call 425-349-6200); 2 to 4 p.m. April 18 and July 11; 10 a.m. to noon June 2 and Aug. 18 (to register for these classes, call 425-258-3900); The Everett Clinic Monte Cristo Conference Room, 3830 Hoyt Ave, Everett. 6 Weeks to a Healthier You: Joe Piscatella, the TV health and lifestyle expert, will host a low-cost good health program in Lynnwood starting in April. The program includes a biometric analysis, including cholesterol screening, and six 90-minute classes. Weekly topics include making health an important part of everyday life, diet, exercise, stress, cooking and family. Classes meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays from April 17 to May 22 at the Lynnwood Convention Center, 3711 196th St. SW. Registration deadline is April 2, and participants need to schedule a 15-minute appointment for biometrics screening at Swedish/Edmonds (21601 76th Ave. W, Edmonds) before the program begins.
