Cedarcrest | Baseball

Davenport, a sophomore, pitched a complete game four-hitter in Sunday’s 6-1 state regional win over Tumwater. Davenport’s performance helped earn the Red Wolves a spot in the state quarterfinals where they faced Liberty later Sunday afternoon. Senior Jake Jewell pitched another gem, throwing a complete game three-hitter to lead Cedarcrest to a 5-1 victory in eight innings. The Red Wolves advance to Friday’s state semifinals where they will play Fife at Yakima County Stadium.

Cedarcrest | Softball

Kent, a senior, batted 3-for-3 with two doubles in the Red Wolves’ 13-7 win over Sedro-Woolley in the championship game of the 2A District 1 tournament. The Red Wolves open state tournament action at Carlon Park in Selah on Friday.

Archbishop Murphy| Boys Soccer

Williams, a junior, scored two of Archbishop Murphy’s three goals in a 3-0 win over Aberdeen in Friday’s 2A state quarterfinals.

Sasha Gaeth

Shorewood | Girls Tennis

Gaeth, a freshman, defeated Mountlake Terrace’s Tina Liu 6-0, 6-1 to win the 3A District 1 singles championship on Wednesday at Arlington High School.

Quinton Borseth

Stanwood | Boys Golf

Borseth, a junior, shot a first-round 72 and a second-round 73 for a combined two-day total of 145 to win the 3A District 1 championship last Tuesday. Borseth edged out Everett’s Andrew Martin and Mountlake Terrace’s Mikey Jenson for the title.

Morgan Rood

Meadowdale | Girls Golf

Rood shot a first-round 81 and a second-round 84 for a combined total of 165 to win the 3A District 1 championship last Wednesday. Rood beat Arlington’s Emmi Modahl, who placed second, by 10 shots.

Chris Diaz

Shorewood | Boys Track

Diaz won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.25 at the 3A District 1 championships at Quil Ceda Stadium in Marysville on Friday.

Chinne Okoronkwo

Mountlake Terrace | Girls Track

Okoronkwo, a senior, won the triple jump with a mark of 42 feet, 7.75 inches at the 3A District 1 championships at Quil Ceda Stadium in Marysville on Friday.

Ben Barton

Kamiak | Boys Lacrosse

Barton, a sophomore, scored seven goals in Kamiak’s 16-4 win over Seattle Prep in the first round of the state playoffs on Wednesday. Barton had two goals in Kamiak’s 12-5 loss to Issaquah in Friday’s state quarterfinals.
