Heroux Devtek in Everett ahead of schedule for landing-gear production
Heroux Devtek (HDI) has been awarded a contract by Boeing to supply landing gear for the 777X airplane. Economic Alliance Snohomish County brought the Canadian firm to Everett and helped them open a 20,000-square-foot facility at the PowderMill Business Center. The company announced on June 1 the completion of final assembly of the pre-production shipset five weeks ahead of schedule. Ramp-up is underway for delivery of production landing gear in early 2017. Nominate worker who saved someone’s life last year
Nominations for the 2016 Governor’s Lifesaving Awards are now being accepted. The awards are presented to workers in Washington who saved a life in the past 12 months. The heroic act must have occurred during work hours and taken place between June 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016. The deadline for nominations is June 30.
