Edmonds Chermak Construction wins remodeling award
The Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence named Edmonds-based Chermak Construction a regional winner in its Residential Interior Under $100,000 category for 2016. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure. Chermak Construction has won three Chrysalis Awards in the past six years.
Arlington mayor, city administrator talk economic development in rural setting
Arlington Mayor Barb Tolbert and City Administrator Paul Ellis were the speakers at the June 16 Economic Alliance Snohomish County Speaker Series luncheon. The City of Arlington has been proactive in meeting the challenges of economic redevelopment in a rural setting. A revitalization plan for the north Stilly Valley following the Oso Mudslide was also discussed.
Open house planned on Edmonds Waterfront Center
An open house to obtain public input regarding the Edmonds Waterfront Center planned to replace the existing Edmonds Senior Center has been set for 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds. The meeting will feature a short program at 6 p.m. on the latest plans for the new multi-generational activity center and shoreline restoration planned for the site.
