With the Seahawks’ offseason activities officially over and with the Mariners out of town, it’s given me a chance to check in with some other things this week.

Schweitzer, a graduate of Jackson High School, is in his first season as a professional soccer player following his graduation from the University of Denver. He’s currently playing with the Seattle Sounders’ S2 team, which serves as the Sounders’ reserve team.
Schweitzer has had something of a topsy-turvy first season as a pro. It started out with being signed by the Sounders’ first team in January. Since then it’s included injury, getting waived and signed to the S2 team, getting his footing in the pro soccer world, and even wearing the captain’s armband.
