On behalf of the Zonta Club of Everett, we would like to thank the amazing group of individuals who helped bring “SEVEN” to the stage of the Snohomish County PUD on Friday night, June 17. This play chronicles the lives of seven women in the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network who overcame enormous obstacles in their home countries around the world. Under the direction of Kayla Dreysee, Dr. Sutapa Basu, Pamela LeSesne, Sierra Zweig, Dr. Suzanne Poppema, Dr. Jean Hernandez, Janice Ellis and Rita Zawaideh brought the lives of a diverse and courageous group of women leaders around the world to the stage in Everett.
The net proceeds from the play will support a female student through the Advanced Manufacturing Training & Education Center program at Everett Community College. Many thanks to Beneficial State Bank, Chris Rommel, Michael Norman, Temple and Associates, P.S. and Boyden, Robinett Associates, LP for their financial donations. We were also pleased to have the Washington State Gourd Society, YWCA, Citrine Health, Cocoon House, Dawson Place, AMTEC, Everett Women’s Gospel Mission, ChildStrive, DVS, and Senior Services of Snohomish County provide educational displays for the audience. We would also like to thank Erickson Furniture and the Moonlight Swing Orchestra for supplying the actors with stools and music stands during the performance.
The Zonta Club of Everett is a powerful non-profit organization empowering women through service and advocacy in Snohomish County and in more than 68 countries worldwide. For more information go to www.zontaeverett.org
