What a mixed weather day for the Strawberry Festival! I was one of the volunteers for the Marysville Police Department.
I would like to recognize an outstanding job by Marysville Scout group Troop 82 from Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Scout Master Curtis Radhell, had his troops at Asberry Park, picking up trash, paper and whatever else. They kept the entire field clean at all times, (even when the severe rains tried to drown us all.) The troop was absolutely fantastic. Their energy, politeness and showing their enthusiasm was exceptional. What a great representation of young people doing good!
Curtis stated that they need more Scouts for his troop, 11 to 18 years old. Scouting offers so much for everyone to help build their confidence and principles of life. Curtis’ phone number is 425-501-4415. He has been a Scout for years and so has his son. Like I said, Scouting is a great, fun and clean group, and keep tweens and teenagers occupied and out of trouble.
Troop 82, job well done!
I personally was in Scouting for a number of years, as a Sea Scout and we had a 63-foot Air-Sea vessel … oh, what fun that was. I obtained the highest you can go — that being a quarter master. Water safety, learning about boats, and a week or two cruises in the San Juans, and other places.
