Phillip Anderson Army Sgt. Phillip R. Anderson, 28, died March 10 when the vehicle he was in was damaged by a roadside bomb in Balad Ruz. Anderson, who briefly lived in Everett during his high school years, was a member of the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment based at Fort Hood, Texas. His hometown is Columbia, Mo., and his wife and young son live with her parents in Graham, Wash.
