Coaching bio

One of the most successful coaches in college football history, Erickson enjoyed a national-championship career at Miami and also turned around programs at Washington State, Oregon State and Arizona State. After going 32-15 in his first head coaching gig at Idaho, Erickson went to WSU and led the Cougars to their first bowl win in 66 years. He then went 63-9 at Miami before joining the NFL's Seattle Seahawks for a four-year stint. In 1999, Erickson returned to the college level and, in his second season at OSU, led the Beavers to their first winning season in 28 years. Last season, after short stops with the San Francisco 49ers and back at Idaho, Erickson took over a downtrodden Arizona State program and led the Sun Devils to a 10-3 record and top-10 national ranking.
