Coaching bio

Plain and simple, Armstrong is Snohomish football. He spent the final 32 years of his 38-year career with the Panthers, leading the school to state titles in 1976 and 1978. Along the way, he earned honors as Washington's high school coach of the year (in 1978) and amassed 272 victories -- the third-highest total in state history. Before going to Snohomish, Armstrong led the Everett High football team to a 17-1 record and a No. 1 state ranking in two seasons there. Armstrong retired in 1994 and passed away five years later, at the age of 69.
