What will the next version of Boeing’s classic 747 jet look like?

What if it has two engines instead of four? Or if it’s a true double-decker instead of a partial? These are a few of the changes highlighted on a new patent the company got last month.

FlightBlogger has this piece detailing what the 747 could look like, according to the patent.

Keep in mind that getting a patent doesn’t mean Boeing’s concept will ever be produced.

While future versions of the 747 aren’t certain, what happens to at the end of 747’s life is.
