Average gas price shoots up 28 cents per gallon

BELLEVUE — The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington is $3.87.

That’s up 17 cents in a week and 28 cents in a month. It’s 17 cents higher than the national average.

Some metro prices from the AAA’s Monday survey:

Bellingham $4.01, Bremerton $3.87, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $3.90, Tacoma $3.90, Olympia $3.89, Vancouver $3.85, Yakima $3.79, Tri-Cities $3.78, Spokane $3.68.
