The Board of Commissioners of Snohomish County’s Verdant Health Commission announced it will formally hire Robin Fenn as the superintendent of Verdant during its next regular meeting on Dec. 14. She will replace current superintendent, Carl Zapora, who is retiring at the end of 2016. Previously, Fenn was research manager at the Snohomish County Department of Human Services.
Mountlake Terrace dentist inducted into academy
Dr. Michael Hrankowski has been inducted as an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. To qualify for this fellowship, Hrankowski had to complete 300 hours of post-doctoral instruction in implant dentistry and pass an examination conducted by an expert panel of dentists. Hrankowski’s practice, Edmonds Woodway Dental Care, is located at 6100 29th St. SW in Mountlake Terrace.
County companies participate in Bellevue’s Kindering benefit
On Nov. 18, several Snohomish County companies, including AAA Kartak, Chermak Construction, Washington Energy Service, Leschi Marketing, and McCarthy Home Remodel, participated in a two-day event to benefit Bellevue’s Kindering organization. Volunteers spent the day painting the therapy rooms, offices, and hallways, in which Kindering staff assist children who are disabled, medically fragile, or at risk.
