Emirates seeks guarantee from Boeing for 787-10

Boeing officials long have said the company intends to come out with a larger 787 than the versions currently offered.

Dubai-based Emirates wants a guarantee before it places and order for as many as 100 Boeing 787s or 100 Airbus A350s, according to Bloomberg.

Emirates wants to order 100 jets in the 300-seat range from a single manufacturer rather than splitting the fleet. The carrier’s vice chairman hopes to pin Boeing down on the details (size and entry into service date) of its oft discussed –10.
