Kirby,

I have loved you spring training reports from Arizona. It gives us a true insight on the team that we can't get anywhere else. I'm looking foward to the season but wonder if you are going to be traveling with the Mariners this season? I certainly hope so because I have always been disappointed in the continuity of the Heralds coverage when the team plays road games. Is there a reason you cover only home games even tho you are at spring training the whole time?

Go Mariners! I think this is the season we retrn to the playoffs!

Hey Blonde Chick,

Don't worry about these guys wearing down just yet. They travel in style -- charter flights and the best hotels. That said, the Mariners will fly about 55,000 miles this year, more than any other team. It's not necessarily the miles that get them, but the criss-crossing of time zones, early morning arrivals back in Seattle when they've got to play a game that night, etc. That will wear on anybody.
