Bedard
I wonder just how many major league pitcher have fraying, small tears or arthritis in their shoulders or elbows, yet still pitch? I'm guessing quite a few. At least they stick it out through the season and then get things cleaned up in the off-season. Maybe his injury is more than normal wear, but has he EVER pitched a full season at the major league level? Some people are just not cut out to be professional athletes, regardless of their natural talent. Too bad it cost the Mariners' so much in return...

So Much for So Little
It is a shame the Mariners gave up so much talent for so little performance. Bedard has talent, but it has largely been unrealized talent as far as the Mariners have been concerned for the last few years. I am one who thinks a incentive based contract would make some sense for both parties, but it probably will not happen.
