Griffey, of Course, but Where
Griffey should be welcomed back to the Mariners, by the fans and team alike, of course, but where does he end up? The dilema is caused by his lack of production last year. I would like him back, but as a what, part time DH? He had a hard time reaching the fences last year unless someone grooved a pitch for him. If the Marniers had an abundance of power there would be no issue, but man, we desperately need some run production. We need a BIG (sorry, Mr. Saunders, but bunts are not what we need)bat in left field and what happens at 3B and 2B? Then there is one more starting pitcher to find, please not Silva! Unless some power is found our record next year with or without Griffey (who I personally love) will be similar to this year.
