If they keep it up with stuff like it will have confederate mudflaps on it (even though they are joking) they will end up like Alabama and lose the plant. I bet there are lawyers looking at the original contract to see if if meant the 787 would be built in the puget sound area or if there is some loophole for Boeing.

Don't the Boeing Co. people that escaped Seattle years ago and went to Chicago call the shots. I think the real reasons for moving away still prevails, and they are many. Besides that, it is cheaper to build planes with parts made in Europe on the east coast of the USA. This is not the age for unions to go on strike, it is the global age of competition, with suppliers subsidized by their governments. What help is the Boeing Co. getting from the U.S.A in Washington D.C.? They even want to buy Airbus planes.

Charleston SC Resident
Mr. Bauer,
Ha Ha very funny. The Appalachian trail? Confederate flag? Is that the best you can do? Sling mud at us because you're bitter? Well, we call that a sore loser in these parts. So to make yourself feel better, you talk trash about the good citizens of South Carolina. How 3rd grader-ish of you. Anyways, gatta go and get my resume ready for the new Boeing 787 positions that will be up for grabs. YEE-HAW! THE SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN!!!

Bitter Over Boeing
Jon

Funny, but the way I see it, the union is at least partially to blame here for creating a work environment that is blatantly hostile toward the company. Folks like you like to forget that the union COULD have capitulated and thus INCREASED the size of their workforce here in the Puget Sound...

By the way, why is it that when Republicans screw up, you always mention their party affiliation, but when Democrats screw up, you don't?

Ahem, I think your liberal bias "slip" is showing...

Union did capitulate
Sorry but I am tired of the union bashing over this deal. Feel free to go to the IAM 751 website & read the letter the Union posted & sent ot all it's memebers after the announcememnt. This was Boeing's plan all along & is using the Union as a scapegoat. It was all a ploy to get more incentives out of S.C.
