All The Petri Dish comments ->> Race makes difference in which children end up in
race, wealth and welfare
The results of that study aren't surprising. I don't understand the attention it is getting.

Okay, while I never truly believed in racial profiling for most of the arrests, I could understand how the poor and disadvantaged could think that for a few. I also have heard reports that indicate racial profiling may occur.

But, aren't the results a reflection on society and not how one group or another is picked out for special treatment? I was a foster parent several times over for numbers and time for kids of the groups mentioned.

While we never get a full story, we get a few tidbits. These kids go to better homes when they go into foster care and the welfare system.

Even in our case, we were devastated when the kids went back to "family" when we knew their lives wouldn't be better.

But isn't that a reflection of society?
