AWOL
The Senators were AWOL at the public health care forum held in Shelton last Tuesday. Rep D I C K S also was AWOL. Instead he held a meeting outside his 6th District to discuss the radioactive sludge pits at Hanford. The meeting was very productive with Dr. Stark discussing the various proposals of health care reform. There were many excellent questions and good answers. The general conclusion is that the current proposal will lead us to bankruptcy. The numbers used to push gov't program in many cases were wrong. It isn't 47 million Americans who want the insurance, it is more like 13 million. The $1.3 trillion increase in debt will pale in comparison to the 10 years after that when costs really soar out of control.

Sure health care reform needs to occur, but the liberals don't want it if it includes tort reform, loser pays, private insurance across state lines, limited mandates, etc.
